There has been an upswing not only in the number of overdoses over the last few weeks, but also in the number of overdose deaths, and another drug overdose death this weekend has officials frustrated.

Belmont County Sheriff Dave Lucas says two females were in a parked car on Pinch Run Road this weekend. One female was deceased. The other one was comatose, but was able to be revived with two doses of naloxone. She’ll now wait to hear what charges come down from the prosecutor’s office.
