Brandon Jackson, the man who caused destruction in a Bethany College dorm room last month, made a court appearance yesterday morning.

He is facing two counts of a felony assault on an officer and several misdemeanor charges.

Since Jackson has no family ties to Brooke County, the defense asked for Jackson to be allowed to return to his mother’s home in Florida.

The judge granted the motion, along with the state’s request for a number of strict stipulations, including home confinement and GPS monitoring.

Jackson is also facing charges out of Allegheny County in Pennsylvania.

He is scheduled to make an appearance in that court next week before heading back to Florida.
