Labor Day usually signals the end of summer and as many celebrate the day off work, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be out in full force to keep you safe.

Lieutenant James Faunda of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, St. Clairsville Post said starting Friday, we will have 100 percent of our troopers working the roadway and will continue through Monday.

Through the use of federal funds, troopers will be working overtime this holiday weekend.

The “Drive Sober, or Get Pulled Over” campaign is also underway. That wraps up on Labor Day.

Faunda said driving impaired causes a lot of crashes, but not wearing your seatbelt can cost you your life.
