Steubenville council members heard Tuesday night about this week’s First Friday event. For the first time since the city started hosting its monthly block party, a majority of Fourth Street will be closed to vehicle traffic.
City Manager Jim Mavromatis said both the 100 block of North Fourth Street and 100 block of South Fourth Street will be blocked off for the festivities, which will be from 6-11 p.m.
Also, the intersection of Adams and Sixth Streets will be closed at least through Friday. Crews are doing work to replace the road and rail ties surrounding the railroad crossing.
