A man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman with a brick.

The incident happened Saturday on the south side of 180 North 4th Street.

According to the police report, 39-year-old Christopher Wood hit the victim in the head with a brick. That victim was taken to the trauma unit, her injuries not known at this time.

Police were able to locate Wood along Market Street. Upon making the arrest, drugs were found in his pocket. Wood is now being charged with possession of drugs and felonious assault.

He is scheduled to appear in court today.
