Weirton Man Arrested for Domestic Violence Incident

Police in Weirton have arrested a man following a domestic violence incident.

Andre Sims, 22, allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face on Sept 15, causing her to require surgery to have her jaw wired shut.

Yesterday, Weirton police issued a search warrant at Sims’ residence and took him into custody.

He is charged with strangulation, malicious assault, and domestic battery.

His bond is set at $60,000.
