18-year Old Facing Rape Charges Against a Minor in Belmont Co.

Evan Porter, 18, appeared for a hearing before Judge Frank Fregiato in Belmont County Thursday.

Porter is charged with rape involving a person less than 12 years old. He was 17 at the time of the alleged crime and is now being tried as an adult.

The matter was set for another hearing next month.

Porter is in jail on a $250,000 bond.
