According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a man was pulled over traveling northbound on Route 7 for tinted windows on Sunday afternoon.
The man could not provide his identification and that’s when the trooper went to put him in handcuffs. In the process, the man managed get away, jump across the road barriers and escape into the brush on the other side of the highway.
Multiple agencies were called to help search for him.
Once he was located, he was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
Officials are now working to learn why the man tried to run.
