The topic of for discussion was the status on moving the police department into their new location.
Councilman Bob Villamagna demanded to know what is taking so long, but he wasn’t pleased with the answer.
The councilman believes the city has the funds to pay for the move, but City Manager Jim Mavromatis said the cost of the cameras, the service and moving everything into the new building would amount to approximately $200,000.
After lashing out, Mayor Barilla was forced to interrupt. Moments later, Villamagna was escorted out by police.
Council also took a moment to thank the residents for coming out to Monday’s town hall where they discussed water rates.
Another meeting will be held tonight at 7 at Eastern Gateway Community College.
