Controversy is swirling after a one-call was issued from Brooke County Schools, stating individuals and business could come take supplies for free. However, it turns out that wasn’t exactly the case.

An excerpt from the phone call parents received from Superintendent Toni Paesano Shute clearly states that people that were invited to partake in a giveaway.

According to Shute, another call was sent out to clarify, but residents say they did not receive it.

The public will be notified about an auction in the near future.
