Belmont County Tourism Council Executive Director Barb Ballint reported a successful third quarter for tourism in the county for 2018.
The Council was extremely proud of its three premiere events of the year: Jamboree in the Hills, the Belmont County Fair, and the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival. Even though each event had its share of ups and downs this year, the Council expects even more growth from each event next year.
Ballint is proud of the effort the council has made to promote these events and points out how important tourism can be to a local economy.
The Council is looking forward to their major winter events, which include Winterfest in Martins Ferry and Christmas in the Village in Powhatan Point.
