The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office and the Bellaire Police Department worked together in arresting two people, seizing meth and syringes.

A basic stop sign violation turned into a drug bust on 36th and Noble Street in Bellaire.

Once deputies stopped the vehicle, they found the driver, 28-year-old Kara Moore of Wellsburg, had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear.

Deputies found a syringe on Moore and more than 7 grams of methamphetamine. She was charged with possession of meth, possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

The passenger, 26-year-old Joshua Lallathin (LAHL-lith-in)of Wheeling, was also arrested after deputies found a syringe near him.

He faces a possession of drug abuse instruments charge.
