Explosion at Garage Sends One Man to the Hospital

An explosion in Jefferson County has sent a man to the hospital.

The explosion happened around 1:00 p.m. in the 9000 block of County Road 39, sending debris at least 30 yards from the garage.

One man was injured in the blast and flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with serious injuries.

Officials said the man was conscious and alert when he was flown, no other injuries were reported.
