A line of angry Belmont County residents formed inside the Belmont County Courthouse yesterday for informal hearings with the auditor.
They say their property values went up thousands of dollars and they have no idea why.
Belmont County Auditor Roger Conroy says they reappraise properties every 6 years and usually see about a 15-to-16 percent increase in property values.
These meetings give people the opportunity to meet with the appraisers and discuss any concerns.
The hearings continued to 7 p.m. yesterday evening, and will continue again from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday.
Conroy said complaints must be filed by March 31.
