During the past few weeks, investigators have been working to catch the man responsible for multiple armed robberies at local gas stations.

These have happened in both Weirton and Steubenville.

With the aid of witnesses, surveillance footage and both the Weirton and Steubenville police departments, the suspect was finally located Tuesday night.

Dale Dante Alexander was taken into custody in Follansbee, where he admitted to committing all four robberies.

Alexander is being held in the Northern Regional Jail.
