The Wellsburg-Brilliant bridge is on track to be finished on time and under budget.

The construction cost is $142 million. Of that, $13.6 million for engineering and around $25 million was set aside for right of way.

The contracting group is paying for the bridge, then, state funds, including taxpayer dollars, will go back to the company through future payments.

Once the bridge is completed, it will be taken downriver about a mile by barge and lifted into the air.

The bridge is still on track to be completed by 2021.
