With all of the controversy surrounding the Brooke County Schools system, the school board president Ted Pauls has requested a forensic audit by the state, diving into all expenses paid by the schools.

In recent months, the Brooke County Board of Education has held several meetings that parents have attended, with some accusing the board of corrupt financing.

The goal of the audit is to create transparency between the board and the public. A meeting was held Monday night to get approval from the board. The members agreed that the audit is necessary in a unanimous vote.
