Wellsburg’s Central Park Christmas display is decorated with various holiday staples, including a Nativity Scene but for the 4th year in a row, organizer Paul Billiard said they’re being robbed and vandalized.

Overnight, two of the nativity animals and spotlights were stolen.

One of the animals has been returned, thanks to the Wellsburg Police Department, but the chicken is still on the loose.

The person responsible is being asked to return the item in time for Wellsburg’s light up night at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13.
