Several communities in the Ohio Valley were without power yesterday following severe weather conditions.
High winds tore across the area Monday night and yesterday morning, including a peak gust of 56 miles per hour reported at the Wheeling-Ohio County Airport around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday.
According to AEP, hundreds of customers had been affected, including many in Belmont and Jefferson counties.
Scattered outages had also been reported in the northern panhandle.
Crews worked all day to fix the problem, but some residents in the Steubenville area did not have power restored until late last night.
No injuries have been reported.
