2 hours after he escaped from the Hancock County Magistrate’s Office, a Weirton man was back into custody.

Ian Kolman, 23, of Weirton, was in court for violating bond on domestic charges, public intoxication, trespassing, harassment, and destruction of property stemming from incidents that occurred last month.

Officials say Kolman ran out of the courtroom and out the doors of the magistrate’s office, eluding the courtroom bailiff’s attempted to apprehend him.

Kolman was eventually found in an apartment in Northgate Manor and taken back into custody just before 2 p.m. He is being held at the Northern Regional Jail.
