Both northbound lanes of Route 7 in Toronto are now open.
Just under two weeks ago, Route 7 northbound in Toronto from the Franklin Street exit to the Fourth Street exit was closed in both lanes.
Highway officials shut down the major roadway after a giant dip started forming in the pavement. Since then, crews have been digging to learn the root of the problem.
According to Ty Justice, with the Ohio Department of Transportation, a large amount of water and mud was found building up under the road, causing the pavement to soften and dip.
Crews drained the water, filled it with gravel and repaved it.
