More Details in the Arrest of Crandall Senkbeil for 1st Degree Murder

An update now on the arrest of 18-year-old Crandall Senkbeil who was charged with first degree murder in the January shooting of Caleb Smail. According to a criminal complaint, Smail and Senkbeil were friends. There were multiple phone records of text messages between the two from November, where Senkbeil asked about purchasing drugs. On March 22nd, a friend of Senkbeil and Smail’s provided information to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, in which he said Senkbeil called him crying on the night of the shooting and said he accidentally shot Smail. I-70 Clear After Accident

Last night, according to Ohio County EMA Director Lou Vargo, there was an accident involving a tractor-trailer and two cars on I-70 eastbound between the Elm Grove and Cabelas exits. The trailer had rolled on its side between Middle Creek Road and the interstate. Clean up crews took a few hours to clear the area. Mudslide Slows Down Evening Commute

A slide on County Road 46 caused headaches for some drivers in Jefferson County after the road was closed for over an hour. County Road 46, which is currently being repaired for a slip on the opposite side of the road was covered with mud and debris as heavy rains washed out a pipe and resulted in the muddy conditions.
