A United Dairy Truck went off a southbound lane of Route 7 yesterday afternoon.
The truck went over the hillside before a guardrail that was wrapped around its axle stopped it from falling into the creek.
The driver was injured in the crash. No other vehicles were involved, but the accident caused some traffic back-ups.
One lane of route 7 southbound was shut down for a few hours while crews worked to clean up the wreckage.
The Martins Ferry fire and police departments, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Belmont County EMA and A-1 Braden’s Towing and Collision were all on scene.
They had to cut the guardrail, and move the truck. It will undergo an inspection to determine exactly what happened.
