An alleged threat was made targeting a Belmont County school district, however, the situation was handled.

The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office arrested two juveniles who allegedly threatened to shoot up Bridgeport Schools this morning.

The alleged threats were made Tuesday morning.

Sheriff Dave Lucas says other students overheard some of the conversation of the two males talking to themselves and making threats regarding shooting up the schools.

No weapons were found on the suspects, however, according to the sheriff, they admitted to making the threats, but never intended to actually carry out the plan. Both suspects are in the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center.
