Preparation work for the major Interstate 70 project has been ongoing for a few weeks; traffic going westbound across the Fort Henry Bridge will be crossing over into eastbound traffic and will continue like that until February 1, 2020.

The entrance ramps and exit ramps are currently still open with people merging on from Main Street in Wheeling, and the Wheeling Island Casino exit is also still open.

People will be seeing a crossover open about 5 miles east of the bridge in Elm Grove; that work is starting early this week and will continue through Friday, November 22nd.

There will be lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., but just the shoulder will be closed 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

These lane closures will continue all the way up to the Marion Street exit, which is Exit 225 going into Bridgeport.
