Two buildings were hit by cars Tuesday in Shadyside.

The first happened around 1 p.m. at the Shadyside Garden Apartments. The apartment building was significantly damaged after a car drove into it.

The second accident happened just before 3 p.m. at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and East 40th Street. Police say the driver was going east on East 40th and drove into the building.

Police say the drivers of both vehicles involved in these incidents were elderly Shadyside residents. There were no serious injuries.
