Huntington police are looking for a Detroit man in connection with a shooting New Year’s Day.

Kymonie Desean Davis, 30, has been charged with seven counts of wanton endangerment and one count of malicious wounding.

Seven people were shot at the Kulture Hookah Bar around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Two people are in critical condition.

The city has issued a cease and desist order to close to business down. Officials said Thursday the business was operating as a bar despite not receiving the appropriate license. Mayor Steve Williams also noted the business had not paid any taxes.

According to officials, Davis has active warrants locally for burglary and domestic battery and is wanted for fraud in Illinois.
