A Wheeling man is behind bars after allegedly strangling his fiancé during an argument.
Wheeling police were dispatched to a domestic in progress on Saturday night at 15th and Jacob streets.
Jason Robinson told officers that he was arguing with his fiancé and denied any physical altercation.
The woman told police Robinson had punched her in the head and strangled her. Officers observed red marks on her neck.
A witness also said that Robinson had punched and strangled the woman.
Robinson was arraigned and is being held on $20,000 bond.
