In Glen Dale, there is a dilemma over a dental office. A longtime business owner says she is trying to spruce up a vacant property, but nearby neighbors say the clinic would do more harm than good.
The residents voiced their opposition against a proposal from Glen Dale residents and owner of Taylor Family Dentistry of more than a decade, Heather Taylor.
Within the past year, Taylor acquired a vacant building at 612 Wheeling Avenue. She wants to transform the blighted building into a dental office.
The site plan calls a seven exam room dental clinic, complete with turning a grassy yard into a parking lot.
However, the concern from nearby residents is that the parking lot exits into a small back alley on the other side of the building.
The alley so small, it doesn’t even have a name on Google maps, but for some, the 10-foot wide alley is the only way they can get home.
There has been no confirmation that the permit has been approved at this time.
