While attention, and potential fears, about the Coronavirus continue to grow, Weirton Medical Center is offering a common sense approach.

Hospital authorities have been holding regular meetings and updates with staff. They’re making sure it has supplies such as masks and protective gear.

Kelli McCoy, director of communications at WMC, reminded the public about three easy steps they can do to help prevent the spread of the flu and Coronavirus by washing their hands, stay home if you are feeling sick and to get a flu shot.

Also on Friday, the Marshall County Health Department issued similar guidance regarding hand washing, avoiding close contact with those who are sick, and cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects.
