Genteel Ridge Road in Brooke County is falling in. It’s so bad, the sheriff points out a car could fit under a portion of the guard rail.
Brooke County Commissioner A.J. Thomas worries about friends who take the route.
Because the road will be a difficult project because it’s on a hillside, Thomas said he’s unaware when, and if, anything will be done, but the road remains open despite its dangerous condition.
Even worse, when the bridge floods, Genteel Ridge Road is the only way in and out.
Brooke County Sheriff Larry Palmer and Thomas urged people to use caution when using the road.
