This week, the Steubenville Water Department had to deal with 3 waterline breaks and a pipe replacement all while continuing to chip away at the valve replacement project.
On Thursday, crews will be on scene in two areas continuing their work.
The first is at Orchard Street and Union Avenue, affecting residents in the 1500 block of Orchard and the 300 block of Union.
Meanwhile, work at Hollywood Boulevard and Cherry Avenue will impact a larger area.
Water Superintendent James Jenkins said the 2200 block of Cleveland, the 2200 block of Cherry, the 200 and 300 blocks of Hollywood and Gramercy Place would be affected.
Last summer, over 1,300 valves were assessed in the project and now the city is working on the remaining 120– which are a little more challenging.
Jenkins adds that the project will be nearing completion in the next 6 months.
