Tuesday was the first day of the of the jury trial for John Garwon, who faces a dozen charges, including rape and child pornography.

Garwon was arrested by the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office after it received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited children that he had been downloading and sharing child pornography online.

In 2018, he was arrested at a Flushing home, where he lived with Wesley Burdge, Tabitha Gallagher and their two children.

That couple fled with their children, prompting a search that ended in Pennsylvania.
