Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Bellaire Wednesday evening.
It happened near the corner of Tallman Avenue and 37th Street.
Crews were dispatched around 11 p.m. The building is owned by St. John Academy. The building itself is vacant and does not have utilities connected.
When crews arrived on scene they were met with heavy flames showing from the second floor of the building.
Firefighters were able to knock down the flames within 15 minutes.
Emergency responders from the Bellaire Fire Department, Martins Ferry Fire Department, Bellaire Police Department and area emergency medical teams were at the scene.
It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the fire.
Authorities have not yet released what may have caused the fire to start.
