The driver of a vehicle was killed in a Tuscarawas County vehicle accident on Sunday.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that a 2003 Mazda Tribute SUV was traveling on Interstate 77 just south of milepost 69 and crashed around 4:45 pm.
Investigators say that the SUV was traveling north on the highway and drove off the left side of the road and into a median. The vehicle then struck a fence and an embankment.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Union Hospital in Dover.
A seat belt was not worn.
Police say they do not know if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
