On Tuesday a resurfacing project will begin in Steubenville.

The project will take place in the Pleasant Heights area. Several streets will be affected including Elk, Jefferson, Cardinal, and Oakmont Avenue.

The project is part of the 2020 Community Development block grant project. Steubenville City Engineer Michael Dolak says they are asking for patience from residents as phase 2 begins.

“There will be no parking restrictions throughout the roadway which include Cardinal, Oakmont, Rosswell, Ross Park, Elk, and Jefferson,” said Dolak. “The roads are in pretty bad shape. The last time they were re-surfaced was over 20 years ago and we want to improve the reliability of the roads and infrastructure,” said Dolak.

The project will be completed by the end of June.
