Authorities discover suspected meth in vehicle

A few grams of suspected meth were found in a car after a traffic stop was made yesterday evening in Belmont County.

The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit and Bridgeport Police made the traffic stop in Bridgeport.

It happened near the intersection of S. Lincoln Ave. and U.S. 40.

It’s unclear if anyone was taken into custody.

The sheriff’s office expects to have more information on the stop later today.
