The Jefferson County Animal Shelter re-opened yesterday after being shut down for two weeks due to a positive COVID-19 case. The shelter has put several new changes in place, including requiring all visitors to wear a mask and for visitors to call the shelter before entering the building. The shelter currently has over 100 animals in their care that are ready for adoption.
