West Virginia Governor Jim Justice ended most of his executive orders concerning the pandemic.

He said people are still required to wear masks and keep social distancing, but social gatherings are no longer restricted after lifting the limit of how many people can enter a business.

State plans to keep surge capacity and personal protective equipment supplies maintained are still in effect. Justice said he plans to make a list of updated executive orders on his website

The state has vaccinated two thirds of eligible residents, but the governor said the remaining third will be a big challenge due to many of that third refusing the vaccine.

The governor said there are still 11 outbreaks at long-term care facilities and 61 state inmates have active cases. There were eight deaths from his last briefing on Friday to yesterdays briefing.
